Democratic Strategist Says He Called Cops After Laura Loomer Told Him He and His Son ‘Are Going to Hell
Democratic Strategist Mike Nellis Calls Police After Laura Loomer Sends Threatening Message
Democratic strategist Mike Nellis, a former senior advisor to Vice President Kamala Harris, said Friday on X (formerly Twitter) that he contacted law enforcement after receiving a disturbing direct message from conservative commentator Laura Loomer.
According to Nellis, Loomer messaged him claiming that he and his young son “are going to hell.” In response, Nellis said he felt compelled to alert the police.
Shortly after, Loomer fired back on X, warning Nellis that “it’s a crime to file a false police report.”
Background of the Online Clash
The conflict stems from heated exchanges following the assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk on Wednesday. Loomer, a prominent ally of former President Donald Trump, has been trading barbs with Nellis online since the tragic incident.
In one of her posts, Loomer suggested that Nellis’s past description of Trump as a “fascist” may have influenced 22-year-old suspect Tyler Robinson, who allegedly left behind bullet casings marked with the message: “Hey Fascist! Catch!”
Nellis Pushes Back
Nellis rejected Loomer’s implication, pointing out that she and far-right figure Nick Fuentes had been the ones recently attacking Charlie Kirk by calling him a fascist.
“Loomer, it was you and Nick Fuentes attacking Charlie Kirk and calling him a fascist over the last several weeks,” Nellis wrote in response.
Loomer vs. Nellis: Escalating Tensions Online
The feud highlights the escalating hostility between high-profile Democratic strategists and right-wing influencers in the wake of political violence. While Nellis emphasizes his concern for safety—especially that of his son—Loomer continues to frame his actions as politically motivated.
