BigXthaPlug Arrested on Drug and Gun Charges on Night of His Album Release

Just before his new album dropped, I Hope You’re Happy, 26-year-old rapper BigXthaPlug was arrested for marijuana possession and unlawful firearm possession in Dallas, Texas, according to arrest records viewed by Complex.

As first reported by Fox4, BigXthaPlug was pulled over by authorities on Thursday (August 21) for “not having a license plate.” When he was asked if he had any firearms inside the car, he informed them that there was one in the car. They searched the vehicle and discovered two firearms and less than 2 ounces of marijuana. He was hit with possession of marijuana (less than 2 ounces) and unlawful possession of a firearm charges.

The arrest happened the day before the arrival of his album, which features collaborations with Jelly Roll, Shaboozey, and Luke Combs. He was scheduled to attend the album release party for the record that night at the Cash Cow bar.
